Weekly Recap

Time Stamped Release Nov 03, 2026 - 08:29 PM

If you’ve been with me for any length of time, you know my #1 rule: we do not hide when the board turns against us.

From Thursday, October 29th through Monday Night Football on November 2nd, we had an awful week on the scoreboard. After weeks of compounding big returnsâ€"including an 11-3 (+$18,518) Saturday just seven days priorâ€"variance caught up to us all at once. Across College Football and the NFL, we finished 11-19 (-$23,764.52).

In sports investing, anyone who only emails you after winning weeks is a fraud. When you take a drawdown, you audit every single ticket, separate bad process from bad variance, and look at whether you are still beating the closing market number.

Even in a rough week, our early-week releases consistently beat the closing lineâ€"the single most reliable indicator of long-term profitability. Here is the honest breakdown of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly from this past week:

✅ The Good: Our 5.5% NFL MAX Play & Key Anchor Wins

Even when the broader slate was rocky, our single highest-conviction play of the entire weekend delivered without a sweat:

  • Lions -3 (5.5% NFL MAX Play of the Day): WIN (+$5,000) â€" Our flagship NFL release cashed, extending our long-term run on NFL MAX plays to 114-72 (+$184,517).

  • NFL Teaser of the Week (2.4%): WIN (+$2,000).

  • Saturday CFB Bright Spots: We cashed our 3% Early Saturday CFB Play (+$1,935), hit three 2.2% totals (Miami/UNC Over 51.5, Nevada/UCLA Under 44, and Colorado St/Utah St Under 61 for +$6,000 combined), and cashed our website-exclusive free play on Louisiana Tech -6 (+$1,000).

âš️ The Bad: Injury Derailments & Weather Shifts on Early Releases

Betting early in the week is how we consistently beat the closing line, but occasionally early positions get ambushed by unpredictable late-week variables:

  • Baltimore / Buffalo OVER 53.5 (3.3% Loss): We loved the offensive pace and matchup here, and the market agreed. Then Lamar Jackson went down early in the game, and backup Tyler Huntley got banged up right behind him. You simply cannot clear a 53.5-point total when an elite offense loses both its MVP quarterback and its backup mid-game.

  • Tampa Bay / Atlanta OVER 45 (3.3% Loss): We locked this in early in the week to beat the number, only to have deteriorating weather roll in prior to kickoff and completely neuter the downfield passing script.

  • Florida +12 (3.3% Loss): One of the most misleading final scores of the college slate. Florida was right in the fight before late-game chaos turned a competitive matchup into a box-score blowout that didn't reflect the four-quarter battle.

  • UAB +7.5 / ML (3.0% Total Risk Loss): Our newsletter play fell flat. Despite the rest advantage and statistical profile, UAB failed to get off the mat.

ðŸ'€ The Ugly: Half-Point Heartbreaks & Second-Half Explosions

A few of these losses were pure gut punches where we had the right handicap for 45+ minutes only to watch the ticket evaporate late:

  • Bears / Seahawks UNDER 46.5 (2.2% Loss â€" Monday Night Football): This was a brutal way to close the week. The game was a defensive grind early, sitting right on pace for an easy Under, before a wild second half and a 4th-quarter barrage of explosive chunk plays blew up the total late.

  • Arizona +3.5 vs. Texas Tech (2.2% Loss): Arizona controlled the first half and took a halftime lead to the locker room, only to stall out late and lose the cover by a literal half-point (0.5).

  • Broncos Under 42 (-$5,000 Loss): A total breakdown in defensive execution that snowballed early and never gave the Under a chance to breathe.

ðŸ"ˆ Moving Forward: Process Over Panic

We don’t chase losses by arbitrarily doubling unit sizes, and we don’t abandon models that beat the closing line just because injury variance and 4th-quarter flukes clustered into a single weekend. Every guaranteed package loss from this weekend has already been credited back to member accounts per our site policy.

We turn the page, trust the closing-line value, and get right back to work on this week’s board.
